Fossilised Prehistoric crocodile

Prehistoric crocodile, Borealosuchus wilsoni, Fossilised bone in original matrix, Late Eocene, circa 50 million years before present.

Found on the Lewis Ranch, Lincoln County, Wyoming, 14th May 2019.

CONDITION:

A complete specimen prepped in original matrix. 1 inch wide diagonal fissure through the matrix and upper skull stabilised with the small area of loss restored in resin. Aremarkable specimen from the “bottom cap” of the 18 inch layer, unlike most of the known specimens this piece has not been transplanted onto a matrix.
